Down Syndrome Connection
On April 22, 2007 at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Libby participated in the Maryland Special Olympics. She received a gold medal in the softball throw, a silver medal for the 50M dash and a bronze medal for the 100M- A special thanks to her Dad, Mom and Midshipman Nolan for assisting her in the competition. Congratulations Libby!!!

YELLOW
Y ell We yell when we play outside by the yellow sun
E lephant like the color yellow
L ight Lights are yellow
L ove Libby and Mommy love the color yellow
O uch They yellow sun hurts your eyes. Fire burns and it is yellow
W ater At the beach near the water is the yellow sun.

My Brother Matthew
My older brother's name is Matthew Jean
And I am always there for him wherever I'm at
Because Matthew has a disability called Down's
So I help him when I can
We are hard to separate him and I
For I must be his voice and ears
He is sweeter than honey
And has a heart of gold
Because he's my closest brother
And I love him so
